Improving the use of Official Languages in Judicial Institutions in the North of Kosovo

NGO Center for the Advocacy of Democratic Culture conducts the project "Improving the use of Official Languages in Judicial Institutions in the North of Kosovo". This project is supported by the Office of the Language Commissioner. The NGO Center for the Advocacy of Democratic Culture will determine how much linguistic rights and standards are applied and what are the most common problems and challenges in the use of official languages in court proceedings, as well as to influence the improvement of the situation.

NGO Center for the Advocacy of Democratic Culture conducts the project "Improving the use of Official Languages ​​in Judicial Institutions in the North of Kosovo". This project is supported by the Office of the Language Commissioner.

The NGO Center for the Advocacy of Democratic Culture will determine how much linguistic rights and standards are applied and what are the most common problems and challenges in the use of official languages ​​in court proceedings, as well as to influence the improvement of the situation.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the application of standards in the use of official languages ​​before judicial institutions in northern Kosovo.

 

The specific objectives are:

- Determination of the state and challenges in the use of official languages ​​before the judiciary institutions

In the north of Kosovo and proposing measures for improvement

-Developing knowledge and awareness of citizens and organizations and institutions about the right to use the language before

Law institutions

Expected results:

NGO ACDC will regularly monitor during the implementation of the project both narrative and financial

Reports will be regularly submitted to the Language Officer's Office. During and after the implementation of each segments and activities in the project, the NGO ACDC will make the evolution achieved for the purpose of additional efforts or changes in order to achieve the project's goals in the best possible way.

Also, the NGO ACDC will also cooperate with legal experts, which will assist in the evaluation of the implementation of project activities.

The realization of the project started on October 1 and ends on February 28, 2019
