Promoting human rights and non-discrimination principles at the local level-II” Project

NGO ACDC is pleased to announce a new project aimed at mobilizing all stakeholders and creating synergy to improve response to the hate speech in northern Kosovo.

The project's overall objective is to raise public awareness of “hate-speech” and foster institutional response through mobilizing all competent institutions and training empowerment expert lawyers, local self-government officers, civil society, and media.

With this project, ACDC wants to address the current increasing phenomena of hate speech noted by the members of different communities. Through research of the level of hate speech, enhanced cooperation, and increased awareness, the project aims to empower residents, strengthen institutional response, and promote effective mechanisms for addressing hate speech challenges in northern Kosovo.

The specific objectives are the following:

SO1: To identify the public perception on “hate-speech” in northern Kosovo

SO2: To raise public awareness on “hate-speech” and available mechanisms

SO3: To increase the capacities of relevant institutions and civil society to prevent and respond to “hate-speech”

SO4: To create synergy among all relevant stakeholders in northern Kosovo.

The project is founded by the Council of Europe Office in Pristina.
