The installation was painted by young artists Tarija Hodža and Katarina Kuzmanović, under the mentorship of Miljana Dunđerin. According to Tarija, the combination of a woman and a fish with motifs of water and earth portrays the inseparable connection between people and nature while drawing attention to the consequences of river pollution.
“A picture is worth a thousand words, and through this artwork, we wanted to send a clear message: protecting our rivers is not only an environmental issue – it is a matter of our survival,” said Tarija Hodža.
The installation will remain as a lasting message to the community that nature is not separate from us – its future is also our future.
The unveiling of the art installation, organised by ACDC, is part of Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW), contributing to collaboration around sustainable development priorities in Kosovo.
