„Correction Centers in Kosovo during COVID19- Problems, challenges and obstacles in daily work "

NGO Center for Advocacy of Democratic Culture - ACDC and Corrective Center in Mitrovica North are pleased to invite you to participate in a Conference as part of the Project “Enhancing Transparency and Rule of Law in Kosovo-Serb Majority Communities” supported by BUREAU OF INTERNATIONAL NARCOTICS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AFFAIRS (INL) KOSOVO. 

Since March 2020, Prison Services in Kosovo have been under continued huge pressure to manage the impact of COVID-19 in the prisons and to keep prisoners and staff safe. Main objective of the Conference is to present main issues, obstacles and challenges that face Corrective Centers in Kosovo, focusing on Mitrovica North, but also to present role of International organizations in their contribution to bridge the gaps and contribute to Corrections Center to minimize impact of COVID19 and create safe environment in Correction Centers. 

Conference will be attended by lawyers, CSO activists, international organization representatives and media from Kosovo.

 

Panelists on the conference will be:

Mr. Benasim Medić, Correction Center director from Mitrovica North

Mr. Fabio Pinzari, UNMIK correction officer

Mr. Aca Mitić, Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture, program director
