From waste collected along the riverbanks to an artwork that raises awareness about environmental responsibility.
As part of Kosovo Sustainable Development Week, together with young people, partners, and artist Miljana Đundjerin, yesterday we presented an environmental sculpture created from waste collected during recent clean-up actions along the Ibar River.
“The Ibar River is a mirror where civilization has replaced conscience with comfort. Pollution in the Ibar is not just dirt in the water, but an imprint of our indifference,” highlighted artist Miljana.

One of our youth participants, Marija, added:
“Every piece of waste we throw in the wrong place harms nature. If we take care of nature, it will take care of us.”
The sculpture is the result of several weeks of activities — from environmental training sessions for young people to joint clean-up actions along the Ibar River’s banks.
We extend our gratitude to all participants, the artist, volunteers, and partners who contributed to this process and demonstrated how collective effort can create visible and inspiring change!
