Further Support to Access to Justice and Human Rights in the Mitrovica Region
On August 25th, in the presence of The President of the Basic Court in Mitrovica, Ljiljana Stevanović, the executive director of the NGO ACDC Dušan Radaković signed a contract extension with six translators and two legal associates at the Basic Court of Mitrovica, and one legal associate who will be engaged in the department of the Appellate Court in North Mitrovica, for the period of ten months.
On August 25th, in the presence of The President of the Basic Court in Mitrovica, Ljiljana Stevanović, the executive director of the NGO ACDC Dušan Radaković signed a contract extension with six translators and two legal associates at the Basic Court of Mitrovica, and one legal associate who will be engaged in the department of the Appellate Court in North Mitrovica, for the period of ten months.
The translators and legal associates will continue to assist judges in clearing the backlogged cases and reducing number of pending cases. Translators and legal associates are engaged through the NGO ACDC on the UNMIK-funded project “Further Support to Access to Justice and Human Rights in the Mitrovica Region”.
The President of the Basic Court in Mitrovica, Ljiljana Stevanović thanked UNMIK for the continuous support in terms of engaging translators to ensure bilingualism in the work of the court. The executive director of the Center for the Advocacy of Democratic Culture, Dušan Radaković, wished the translators and legal associates good luck in their work.
