Aca Mitić is a civil society activist with extensive experience in CSOs’ organizational development, advocacy initiatives, and conflict management. Mr Mitić managed number of projects funded by European Union office in Kosovo, USAID (US Agency for International Development), KFOS (Kosovo Foundation for Open Society) and foreign embassies in Kosovo.
He was previously engaged in the field of Human rights as founder of youth group of Helsinki Committee for human rights in Serbia. He initiated number of advocacy activities with main goal to improve inter-ethnic relations among communities living in Kosovo, by increasing opportunities for formal and informal inter-ethnic dialogue and cooperation.
Mr Mitić participated at “Leadership Program” organized by Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia (WCEE), University of Michigan and many programs related to leadership and public speaking organized by National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Kosovo . He completed Human Rights School as part of Helsinki Committee for Human rights program for young leaders.
As for the recent experience, Mr Mitić worked for “Helvetas Swiss intercooperation Kosovo“as special performance advisor of the ZveÄan municipality mayor, in cooperation with Ministry of Local government and administration.
His main fields of interests are: organizational development and change, leadership and management, diversity and cross-cultural awareness, strategic planning and conflict management.
