When it comes to reading it is very important to learn what we are reading. What is serving to you or that you want to red. However, there is also the part where you are 'forced' to read, perhaps to carry out various scientific works during the faculty (during bachelor, master or PHD).
When it comes to reading it is very important to learn what we are reading. What is serving to you or that you want to read. However, there is also the part where you are 'forced' to read, perhaps to carry out various scientific works during the faculty (during bachelor, master or PHD).
Since all of these in reading is very easily feasible, because all the forms mentioned, despite the fact that you must be supplied with literature.
The challenge in the literature on youth perhaps this is evident due to the fact that young people, especially those students who are seeking literature to base their work ... highlight the difficulty in finding literature. Here is not the problem of lack of literature but the obligation of the rule for the usage of literature not older than 10 years. Ehhh, here lies the challenge. In the last 10 years in Kosovo, we have very little literature that could be used by any student. I emphasize again. This is not a problem. [Every time we say "no problem", that's where the problem lies]. Let's not forget, we have to adapt to the established rule.
Integral parts of the literature are the official documents issued by the institutions of Kosovo! Here again appears a non-well-thought challenge, which of translating documents. It is known that in Kosovo there are 3 official languages, and in some municipalities even 4 official languages. During my experience working with international and national organizations, I had encountered many obstacles in finding literature that I could offer to international students who come to Kosovo to carry out their work, especially in the field of culture. In addition to international students, local students studying abroad also face such obstacles. It is worth noting that, for example: for the culture of the city of Mitrovica, there is no document in English (at least, I have not found) from our institutions, except for some of the non-governmental organizations that have done any (thanks to donations from different states, which with or without consciousness can be considered literature that can be used for studies because it is imposed by reporting in English).
Consequently, institutions and non-governmental organizations should work closely, and use the intellectual capacity possessed by organizations young people, and thus promoting more topics related to the lack of literature, where without hesitation will be promoting the reading, as well as new authors could exchange their works and/or be co-authors in their works. Language skills are not lacking, so every young person nowadays knows at least two foreign languages (not counting the mother tongue).
The problem was solved…? Of course not - It was sidelined just one part of the challenge, if you work for good for the benefit of readers.
In our country there is a lack of research (whether quantitative or qualitative) on readability. None of the high schools conducts such research. None of the faculties conducts such research. Therefore, another method for measuring readability must be found.
The most important fact about the lack of readers is shown through newspapers. Apparently, companies that print newspapers (daily or weekly) do not benefit from this work. In 2021, there is no daily newspaper printed in format like the classic newspaper, and all have gone into modernization (if it can be called so) online. While neighboring countries have 5 or 10 daily newspapers types.
Apparently, in the modern world another spirit emerged, or another more sophisticated meter for measuring readability, and that meter is called: click. Of course, each click brings more benefits than any newspaper sale for a price of 0.30 cents or 0.50 cents. So, click is considered the unit of measurement of any kind of article, news, report, reportage, event, where all these were newspaper sections pages.
But still ... a problem! Clicking probably can benefit for providers of online newspapers, but it may also be a false measure because computer algorithm accounts in a way that recognizes you as Clicking of that article, but not as a reader.
When we are at the reading meters, a story is coming to an end, as an 80-year-old man told me a few days ago, "I have read books as many as three donkeys that could carry on their backs".
I still have to read… to understand a little!
