"Silence is Not an Answer" – Art as a Voice Against Violence
The NGO ACDC is organizing the exhibition "Silence is Not an Answer", by artist Jelena Milićević, which will open on July 23 at 19:00 at PKC Akvarijus, North Mitrovica.
Through powerful portraits and artistic expression, the exhibition explores violence, social injustice, and the importance of art as a form of resistance against silence and indifference. Inspired by personal empathy, activism, and the experiences of survivors, Jelena Milićević’s work calls for change, compassion, and collective responsibility in building a society free from violence.
This artistic evening will be an opportunity to reflect together on the role of community, stereotypes, media, and social networks in shaping reality – and to remind ourselves that silence should never be the answer.
The event is organized within the project Canvas of Culture in the North of Kosovo, supported by the Swiss Cooperation Programme.
