Project description: ACDC has designed a project to address corruption and nepotism—key issues that weaken governance, erode public trust, and hinder societal progress in Kosovo. Using forum theatre and interactive drama, the project aims to highlight these challenges through an artistic approach, raising awareness, promoting anti-corruption mechanisms, and empowering youth to take an active role in fostering transparency and accountability. Ultimately, the project seeks to cultivate a culture of integrity by encouraging public dialogue and engagement in the fight against corruption.
Project Activities
1. Theatre Training & Performances – Recruitment and training of young amateur actors from North Mitrovica, scriptwriting workshops, and rehearsals to develop impactful plays on corruption and nepotism. Public performances will be held in North Mitrovica and Gračanica, fostering interethnic dialogue.
2. Awareness Materials & Distribution – Designing and distributing informative leaflets on anti-corruption mechanisms, targeting youth and marginalized communities to promote transparency and civic engagement.
3. Community Dialogue & Engagement – Post-performance discussions and Q&A sessions to encourage dialogue, educate citizens on reporting corruption, and empower them as change agents.
4. Social Media Campaign – A digital outreach initiative featuring highlights from performances, interviews, educational content, and interactive posts to amplify the project’s impact and sustain engagement.
Expected Outcomes
The project is funded by SELDI and will run for ten months, from February 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025
