Research was conducted within the project Monitoring Judicial Reform in North Kosovo supported by National Endwonment for Democracy.
Project team has presented research to do participants, after the presentation floor was left to participants for their comments and questions. Participants had the most questions regarding the Court Branch which will be in Zubin Potok.
Based on the discussion, the conclusions are the following:
Citizens expressed that they do not feel secure because they do not have the confidence in the objectivity of interpreting legal norms, and their future applying by judges members of other ethnic community.
One of the most important conclusions was that the dysfunction of the judiciary with full capacity is the most harmful to ordinary citizens, given that they due this gap often cannot solve their issues, what is mentioned as biggest issue with which Kosovo Serbs are facing on daily basis is property usurpation.
