The play “Small Signs of Attention” performed in Zubin Potok and Gračanica – Theater Against Corruption

Zubin Potok / Gračanica, September 2–3, 2025 – Within the project “Stage of Integrity – Theater Against Corruption in Kosovo”, implemented by the NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC) with the support of the European Union through the SELDI small grants program, the play “Small Signs of Attention” was performed before audiences in two Kosovo municipalities.

On September 2 in Zubin Potok and on September 3 in Gračanica, citizens had the opportunity, through humorous and realistic scenes from a classroom, municipality, and hospital, to recognize how seemingly “small favors” and “signs of attention” – a coffee, a juice, or a box of chocolates – grow into broader corruption that we all recognize from everyday life.

The performance, in a vivid and humorous yet serious manner, reminded the audience that corruption does not begin with major scandals, but with small compromises that are often tolerated, sending the message that change starts with the everyday decisions of each of us, especially young people, to reject corrupt practices and choose the honest path.

The project “Stage of Integrity – Theater Against Corruption” uses forum theater and interactive drama to bring citizens, particularly youth from non-majority communities, closer to the importance of fighting corruption and to the mechanisms available to them.
