ACDC workshop Presentation of the existing legal framework, advocacy, community outreach and lobbying



On 21.06.2018 NGO ACDC have organized second workshop as a part of the project "PROVISION OF SERVICES TO IMPROVE COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE YOUTH CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOs) FROM THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE RIVER IBAR", supported by the EU Office in Kosovo.

On 21.06.2018 NGO ACDC have organized second workshop as a part of the project “PROVISION OF SERVICES TO IMPROVE COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE YOUTH CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOs) FROM THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE RIVER IBAR”, supported by the EU Office in Kosovo.

The subject of the second workshop was “Presentation of the existing legal framework, advocacy, community outreach and lobbying". Debate was organized in EUICC North Mitrovica. The panelists had the opportunity to discuss the existing legal framework, advocacy, community outreach and lobbying, while the present participants had discussed this topic with the panelists who gave their point of view and potential solutions to the issue discussed.

The panelists at the workshop were:

  • Stefan Veljkovic - OEK Sinergija, 
  • Srdjan Milojevic – Youth economy consultant
  • Dusan Milanovic – Local Youth Action Council (LYAC)
  • Nebojsa Ninic – Director of Youth Department
  • Dusan Radakovic – NGO ACDC
  • Sanja Lazarevic – NGO COD

The panelists had the opportunity to discuss the current situation from their perspective as the representatives from the local institutions as well as from the perspective of the Youth councils as the newly established entities in the local municipalities on the north region of Mitrovica.

The conclusion of the second workshop regarding the legal framework, advocacy, community outreach and lobbying is lack of cooperation of between youth and local institution. NGO sector is the one who can prepare the action plans and proper and realistic time frames regarding the activities and funding from local institutions.

The participants provided their inputs and experience on this topic with the panelists who are directly dealing with youth and they all agreed that the problem of youth and support of the youth initiatives are lacking and are the same all over the Kosovo.
