NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture cordially invites you to participate in the conference on Human Rights that will serve as a final event of the project “Facilitating Access to Justice and Supporting Human Rights in Mitrovica Region” supported by UNMIK.
The panelists will be Mr. Jerome Bouyjou, Chief of UNMIK Human Rights Office and Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms. Marija Radulović, Deputy Ombudsperson, and Mr. Ljubiša Baščarević, Senior Project Officer at Council of Europe.
The conference will address the human rights situation in Kosovo, violations, and challenges in exercising human rights. In addition, UN Human Rights mechanisms will be presented as well as the work of the Ombudsperson Institution of Kosovo and the Council of Europe and their role in the promotion and protection of human rights, fundamental freedoms, and democratic values.
The conference will be attended by graduate students, lawyers, civil society activists, as well as representatives of international organizations and media.
The closing conference will be held on the premises of International Business College Mitrovica (North Campus) on June 21, starting at 11am.
