Conference "Status of judiciary and law practice in Kosovo"
NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC) is pleased to invite you to participate in the Conference on the status of judiciary and law practice in Kosovo, which will take place on Wednesday 19 February 2020 starting at 13:00 hrs at the premises of the International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) in North Mitrovica.
The participants at the conference will be young lawyers from northern Kosovo who are preparing to take the Bar Exam, judges and legal officers, representatives of both international and local civil society organizations.
The panelist at the Conference will be:
Mr. Shkelzen Maliqi, General Director of the Kosovo Judicial Council Secretariat
Mr. Osman Havolli, President of the Kosovo Chamber of Advocates
Mr. Nikola Kabašić, President of the Basic Court of Mitrovica/Mitrovicë
Mr. Zahir Tanin, Special Representative of Secretary General
The event is organized within the project “Improving the performance of the judiciary and prosecution and the access to justice in Kosovo - Assistance to the integrated judicial institutions in northern Kosovo”, supported by UNMIK. The project involves support to the Basic Court of Mitrovica through ten translators and three legal associates and trainings for young lawyers.
