“Mandate and functioning of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers”

7^th February 2019.

The Specialist Chambers have a specific mandate and jurisdiction, namely over certain crimes against humanity, war crimes, and other criminal acts as defined by Kosovo law that occurred between 1998 and 2000. The informative session will be focused on this mandate and on the participation of victims of these crimes in the legal proceedings.

Please note that the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office is a separate institution from the Specialist Chambers and therefore investigation and indictments will not be discussed during the informative session.

The panelist at the informative session will be:

Tadeja Novinc Associate Legal Officer, Victims’ Participation Office

Paul Landers Legal Advisor, Ombudsperson’s Office

Solene Moutier Outreach Assistant, Public Information and Communication Unit

The Informative session will take place North Mitrovica, on February 7th, 2019, in premises of North City Center (old office of EU info center) from 11:00 until 13:00.
