The event featured panelists Ivana Rakić, Director of the Podrži me (Support Me) Center, and Miljana (Šćekić) Vučinić, Legal Adviser at the Ombudsperson Institution, who provided insights into initiatives aimed at empowering youth, particularly those from non-majority communities in northern Kosovo.

Snežana Vukicević from ACDC opened the conference by presenting a project supported by the CDF, within which the conference was organized, aimed at empowering young individuals through an understanding of human rights principles and effective advocacy skills. This project included a series of targeted activities focused on promoting inclusivity, dialogue, and sustainable change in the region.

Ivana Rakić presented the work of the Podrži me (Support Me) organization, which assists children and young people with developmental difficulties in northern Kosovo. Her presentation emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable youth groups and the critical role that organizations like Podrži me play in empowering them and facilitating their social inclusion.

The conference also highlighted the urgent need for institutional frameworks that enable youth participation in decision-making processes and human rights advocacy, ensuring that young voices are heard and valued.

The event was made possible through the support of the Community Development Fund (CDF) and the Human Rightivism project, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
