As part of the project “Enhancing Institutional Response to Corruption in northern Kosovo”, on March 15th, NGO ACDC organized a Study Visit to the Anti-Corruption Agency of Kosovo and Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF).
The purpose of the visit was to acquire comprehensive knowledge on the mandate and the scope of work of the Agency and the programs of the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF). Study visit included NGO ACDC representatives, civil society activists, young lawyers, and students from Northern Kosovo.
In the meeting with the representatives of the NGO "Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture", the Director of ACA, Yll Buleshkaj, spoke about the mandate of the Anti-Corruption Agency and its role in the report on the declaration of assets of senior public officials, administrative investigations, prevention of conflict of interest, whistleblower protection, and regional cooperation. During the meeting, the Director of AKM Yll Buleshkaj responded to the interests of the attendees regarding the role of ACA concerning full control of assets and actions and actions undertaken by the Agency during the process of administrative investigations in cases handling senior public positions.
NGO ACDC representatives used this opportunity to inform the ACA director about the activities that are going to be implemented within the project regarding the visibility of the Agency. Namely, NGO ACDC will develop educative brochures and TV clip to increase the visibility of the Agency in northern Kosovo, as part of the public campaign focused on raising awareness and knowledge on corruption and anti-corruption mechanisms.
Furthermore, on this occasion, NGO ACDC representatives have also visited Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) whose staff introduced the participants to the organization’s projects, responsibilities, and objectives. The visit aimed to provide participants with the opportunity to get to know the work of KCSF whose programs have numerous cross-cutting activities that promote a democratic culture and respond to the socio-economic needs of Kosovo.
This grant is supported by the ʻCivil Society programme for Albania and Kosovo’ financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) in partnership with Partners Albania for Change and Development (PA).
