From 24 to 26 October 2025, a three-day multiethnic youth camp was held in Prevalac, bringing together participants from various municipalities across Kosovo as part of the project “Together for Tomorrow: Youth Initiative in Kosovo.”
The camp included educational and cultural activities aimed at fostering cooperation, leadership, and mutual understanding among young people from different communities. Participants had the opportunity to explore the basics of astronomy through a combination of practical and educational activities — they observed the Sun using a telescope and protective glasses, took part in an interactive lecture on space, and tested their knowledge through an astronomy quiz. The activity was organized in cooperation with the Astronomy Club Kosovo, whose engagement helped bring the world of science and stargazing closer to young participants.

During the camp, youth also visited Prizren, where they explored the Archaeological Museum, which preserves valuable artifacts from the Roman period to the Middle Ages and reflects the rich history and cultural development of the region. They also toured the old town, discovering its diverse cultural heritage and architecture that bridges different eras and traditions. This visit helped participants better understand the importance of preserving cultural heritage and the contribution of all communities in shaping it.

This camp is part of a broader project activity that aims to promote intercultural understanding, shared learning, and youth-led initiatives in the fields of education, science, culture, and environmental protection. Through such camps and initiatives, the project strengthens trust, cooperation, and a sense of unity among young people.
This program is part of the “Youth Empowered through Inclusive Schools and Societies (YESS)” project, funded by the UN Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund and implemented by UNICEF and IOM Kosovo.
