UNMIK DSRSG visits NGO ACDC training with young lawyers



On 17 December 2019, UNMIK DSRSG Mr. Christopher Coleman visited NGO ACDC and addressed the young lawyers who participate in the program of targeted training on practical legal skills and Bar Examination in Kosovo. The training was organized as part of the project supported by UNMIK, which includes targeted trainings and the support to the Basic Court of Mitrovica through engagement of 10 translators and 3 legal associates who work on clearing the case backlog. Mr. Coleman congratulated the participants for their interest to learn and engage in law practice in Kosovo, adding that the future of judicial system lies on them. He stated that UNMIK will continue to support inclusion of young lawyers and the improvement of the administration of justice. Executive Director of NGO ACDC Mr. Dušan Radaković thanked UNMIK for the support and added that the organization will continue to facilitate inclusion of young lawyers from non-majority communities into the law practice of Kosovo. He also said that the project involves fruitful cooperation among UNMIK-the Basic Court of Mitrovica and NGO ACDC. The trainer, Mr. Miloš Marković, a civil judge at the Basic Court of Mitrovica, thanked both UNMIK and ACDC for opportunies to train young lawyers and help them to pass the Bar Exam and engage in law practice in Kosovo.
