In 2007, the General Assembly of the United Nations decided that February 20 will be celebrated as the World Day of Social Justice. It is believed that the observation of this day contributes to further strengthening the efforts of the international community to eradicate poverty, increasing concern for the dignity of work, equal opportunities, and fair access to social goods and justice for every human being.
Therefore, we believe that the promotion of social justice, apart from international and national, should also be achieved on a regional basis and that it can support a social rightly society in which all people enjoy equal rights and have equal opportunities to realize their potential and participate equally in all aspects of life.
