From October 18-20, 2024 the Youth Camp held in Graçanicë/Gračanica gathered young individuals from various communities at Hotel Ulpijana for a dynamic three-day program focused on enhancing language abilities and fostering mutual understanding. The camp, part of the "Youth Empowered through Inclusive Schools and Societies (YESS)" project and organized with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), provided a unique opportunity for youth to connect and learn.
The camp featured various interactive sessions, including VOCUP language workshops, where participants practiced communication skills in Serbian and Albanian to promote inclusivity and cultural exchange. Additionally, first aid training equipped attendees with essential life-saving skills, while an educational visit to the Ulpiana Archaeological Site allowed them to dive into the region's rich history. Exploring the well-preserved ruins helped participants gain a deeper appreciation for the cultural heritage of the area and understand the importance of preserving history.
As the second in a series of youth camps across Kosovo, this event successfully equipped participants with the tools to become active contributors to a more inclusive and cohesive society. The journey to empower Kosovo's youth continues, with more camps to come in the upcoming months.
