ACDC Workshop on links and cooperation between Youth CSOs and municipal officials and establishment of sustainable communication network between respective CSOs from North and South of Mitrovica

On 27.06.2018 NGO ACDC have organized third workshop as a part of the project "PROVISION OF SERVICES TO IMPROVE COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE YOUTH CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOs) FROM THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE RIVER IBAR", supported by the EU Office in Kosovo.

On 27.06.2018 NGO ACDC have organized third workshop as a part of the project “PROVISION OF SERVICES TO IMPROVE COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE YOUTH CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOs) FROM THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE RIVER IBAR”, supported by the EU Office in Kosovo.

The subject of the third workshop was “links and cooperation between Youth CSOs and municipal officials and establishment of sustainable communication network between respective CSOs from North and South of Mitrovica”. Debate was organized in restaurant Vapiano in south Mitrovica. The panelists had the opportunity to discuss the existing cooperation and the good and bad sides of this cooperation, and the possibilities for establishing the network youth CSOs for south and north Mitrovica. Present participants had discussed this topic as well and contributed with their comments and suggestions.

The panelists had the opportunity to discuss the current situation from their existing experiences and current activities, the representatives from the local institutions as well as the respective Youth CSOs as the consumers of the services that municipalities are providing gave their point of view and weather these services that are existing on paper are relevant and adequate in the north and south of Mitrovica municipalities.

The conclusion of the third workshop regarding the links and cooperation between Youth CSOs and municipal officials and establishment of sustainable communication network between respective CSOs from North and South of Mitrovica is lack of cooperation between youth CSOs and local institution while the cooperation between the CSOs from north and south exists but needs to be further improved. The participants provided their inputs and experience on this topic with the panelists who are directly dealing with mentioned issues and topics and they all agreed that the problem of youth and support of the youth initiatives are lacking and are the same all over the Kosovo and especially in Mitrovica town (north and south Mitrovica).
