Beyond Borders: Promoting Understanding and Awareness of Visa-Free Regime for Kosovo



NGO ACDC will implement a five-month programme to raise awareness and knowledge among the K/Serb community and other non-majority communities in the targeted municipalities about visa liberalization for Kosovo and all the benefits it entails. The program will include different sorts of activities, all aiming to bring the benefits of the visa-free status to the Serb community and increase their support for Kosovo’s EU integration process.

NGO ACDC will implement a five-month programme to raise awareness and knowledge among the K/Serb community and other non-majority communities in the targeted municipalities about visa liberalization for Kosovo and all the benefits it entails. The program will include different sorts of activities, all aiming to bring the benefits of the visa-free status to the Serb community and increase their support for Kosovo’s EU integration process.

The program will include the following targeted municipalities: Gracanica, North Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok, Leposavic, Peja/Peć (villages Goraždevac and Vitomirica) and Obiliq (villages Plemetina and Babin Most).

The aim is to effectively communicate the benefits of the visa-free regime through a multifaceted approach involving in-person information sessions, a robust social media campaign, and the creation of informative materials.

The programme methodology will include a robust public outreach campaign through social media and local media outlets, aiming to raise the public awareness and knowledge on visa liberalization for Kosovo, including all procedures, benefits, but also restrictions that apply for the stay in Schengen zone countries. The campaign will include posts on social networks, development and dissemination of promotional leaflets, public conference and a media appearances for explaining all necessary details to the public.

By achieving these objectives, the project will promote the knowledge of the Serbian community in Kosovo about the visa liberation process.

The project will run for 5 months and is supported by the International Organization for Migration.
