ACDC works to strengthen the rule of law, equal access to justice and institutional accountability, with a particular focus on the equal application of the law and the exercise of rights by the Serbian and other non-majority communities.
Our work focuses on the challenges citizens face in exercising their rights and accessing institutions. We pay particular attention to access to justice and legal aid, the protection of language rights, equal access to public services, as well as institutional transparency and accountability. We also follow issues related to the work of the police and judiciary, security, institutional representation of communities, and democratic and electoral processes.
Through research and legal analysis, monitoring the work of institutions, informing citizens, dialogue and public advocacy, ACDC highlights citizens’ needs and develops recommendations for improving public policies and institutional practices. The aim is to help citizens better understand and exercise their rights, while encouraging institutions to apply the law more consistently and respond more responsibly to the needs of all communities.
