Forum for dialogue between the Ombudsperson Institution and civil society organizations

The first meeting of the Forum for Dialogue between the Ombudsperson Institution of Kosovo and Civil Society Organizations was held in Pristina yesterday.

The first meeting of the Forum for Dialogue between the Ombudsperson Institution of Kosovo and Civil Society Organizations was held in Pristina yesterday. The aim of the Forum is to achieve close cooperation in the field of identifying challenges and human rights violations in Kosovo, as well as developing joint activities aimed at promoting and protecting human rights in Kosovo. Ombudsperson Naim Qelaj emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Ombudsperson Institution and CSOs and concluded that greater participation as well as closer cooperation is needed for the whole system to function better. He stressed that the approach of institutions has been fragmented for the last 20 years and that we should not deal with the same problem 10 times, but only once, we should solve it and move on.

ACDC was represented by Dušan Radaković, who was one of the panelists of this Forum and presented the role of civil society in the defense and respect for human rights.
